Felix sneak peek {children}

Last week I was able to meet a wonderful family. Jenny & Jake are such a cute couple. They own a very cute dog and 2 cats. One is a hairless one. Boy – I must admit at first I was a little shocked. I’d never seen a hairless cat before. It looked just like a large rat. lol Seriously. It’s was quite funny touching her. But she wasn’t the cutest thing there. That was without a doubt their 9week old firstborn Felix. Oh – so cute! And such pretty eyes.

Jenny contacted me to have Felix’ pictures taken and I think she got really excited. Well …me – I always get excited about every shoot I get to have. But when I was there to photograph Felix I received by far one of the biggest professional compliments ever. Jenny told me to just do my thing. You’re the artist and know what looks good. I don’t think Jenny even knows how much that meant to me! For someone to put their complete trust in you. In me. In my ability to capture their baby in his first weeks. It’s a big deal. To me. And I am very grateful for that trust. For her confidence in me. Thank you Jenny!

And without any further ado…. here’s Felix.

Oh and another thing….Jenny told me that it’s okay if I catch some pictures of him crying, because supposedly he does that a lot. And if we have a picture with him crying it would show him exactly how he was at that stage in his life and looking back on the pictures they’d always be able to remember those times. I don’t hear this very often but it warms my heart. I’m a firm believer that photography isn’t just about the cute smiles and giggles. It’s so much more. It’s about capturing the soul. And if we don’t feel happy in the inside we should be allowed to show that just as well. Then again….i think Felix still looks pretty dang cute even when he is crying. 😀

Letzte Woche hatte ich das Vergnügen eine ganz tolle Familie kennenzulernen. Jenny & Jake sind so süß. Sie sind stolze Besitzer von einem Hund und 2 Katzen. Eine davon hat keine Haare. Meine Herren – ich hab mich vielleicht erschrocken. Hatte noch nie zuvor eine haarlose Katze gesehen. Sie sah aus wie eine große Ratte. lol Echt. Ich muß zugeben es war ganz schön komisch sie zu streicheln. Aber sie war nicht das tollste vom Tage. Das war mitAbstand der 9 Wochen alte Felix. So süß! Und ganz tolle Augen hat er.

Jenny hat mich über meine homepage kontaktiert um Fotos von ihrem Felix zu machen. Ich glaub sie war so richtig aus den Socken, dass ich die Fotos machen werde. Also ich freu mich natürlich immer wenn ich gebucht werde um Fotos zu machen. Aber als ich da war um Felix’ Fotos zu machen hab ich gemerkt wie sehr Jenny auf meine Fotografie steht und hab mit Abstand eines der tollsten berufl. Komplimente schlecht hin von ihr bekommen. Jenny hat mir gesagt, dass ich machen darf was ich will. Du bist die Künstlering und du weißt was Gut aussieht. Ich bezweifle Jenny weiß wie sehr sie mich damit berührt hat! Es ist wirklich wahnsinn wenn jemand mir sein vollstes Vertrauen schenkt. Darin, dass ich das Talent habe ihr Baby in seinen ersten Wochen zu fotografieren. Das ist ziehmlich wichtig. Zumindestens für mich. Und ich bin ihr dafür sehr dankbar. Dankbar für ihr Vertrauen in mich. Danke Jenny!

Und ich will nicht weiter rum plappern…. hier ist Felix.

Ist er nicht süß?

Und noch was anderes….Jenny hatte mir u.a. auch gesagt dass es völlig okay ist, wenn ich ein Knatsch-Foto von ihm mache. Denn anscheinend macht er das recht oft. Und mit einem Knatsch-Foto würden sie die Möglichkeit haben noch in 10-20 Jahren auf die Fotos zurückzublicken und sich an Felix zu erinnern, genau so wie er zu dem Zeitpunkt in seinem Leben war. Sowas hör ich erhlich gesagt nicht oft von meinen Kunden und es hat mich wirklich gerührt das zu hören, denn genau so denke ich auch. Ich bin fest der Meinung, dass die Fotografie nicht nur für die schönen Lachfotos sind. Es geht um viel mehr. Ich versuche mit meiner Kunst die Seele zum Licht hervorzubringen. Und wenn wir mal nicht glücklich sind sollten wir auch die Möglichkeit haben das in Fotos festzuhalten. Hihi…doch selbst beim Knatschen sieht Felix noch süß aus. 😀 (siehe Foto oben)
