Kara-mia! {fashion}

So…I’m the new girl in town. And usually I drive around every new town to get better acquainted with the area and find cool new locations for photo shoots. Last week I went to Oklahoma City for a Wedding Seminar and I figured I should go a little exploring downtown afterward. So even though I love taking nature and landscape pictures I figured it would be smarter to actually have someone in front of the lens. Considering the fact that I went on a location hunt anyways. So I remembered the beautiful Kara who contacted me a little while back for a potential collaboration. And I thought – this would be the perfect time to have a fun fashion shoot.

A little bit about Kara. She’s been in he modeling/acting industry since she was a young child and seriously – she can BRING it! Once the camera is on her she starts rollin’. Nailing it every single frame! She’s happily married with 4 children. 7, 5 and 17 months old twins. Her and her family just recently moved to OKC from Kansas. And on top of all things – she is a full-blooded native American. She is a descendant from the French speaking Chippewa tribe. Awesome, eh?!

We had a great time walking through downtown, finding cool spots and hitting it off right away. I mean – seriously. How could we not? We’re about the same age, both new to the area AND both mothers of twins. lol What a coincidence.

So….wie ihr alle bereits wisst bin ich die Neue hier in der Gegend. Und egal wo ich bin, wenn ich irgendwo neu bin versuche ich immer mir die Zeit zu nehmen um die Gegend zu erkundschaften und geh auf Suche nach coolen, neuen Plätzen für Fotoshootings. Letzte Woche war ich in Oklahoma City für ein Hochzeitseminar und wenn ich schonmal unterwegs bin, dachte ich mir dass ich die Zeit nutze um die City zu erkundschaften. Und obwohl ich gerne Landschaftsfotos und so mache ist’s einfach spaßiger wenn ich jemanden vor der Linse habe. Schließlich bin ich doch auf der Suche nach Foto Ecken. Also macht es doch nur Sinn die Gegend mit einem Model gemeinsam zu erkundschaften. Ich erinnerte mich dann an die hübsche Kara, die mich vor einiger Zeit kontaktierte um evtl. zusammen zu arbeiten. Perfektes timing. Also hab ich sie kontaktiert und einen Termin ausgemacht für ein Fashion Shooting.

Hier ein bißchen Info über die liebe Kara. Sie modelt und schauspielt seid ihrer Jugend und echt – sie hat’s wirklich drauf! Sobald ich die Kamera auf sie gerichtet hatte ist sie in ihre Rolle geschlüpft und hat eine Pose nach der anderen hingelegt. Eine besser als die andere! Sie ist glücklich verheiratet und hat 4 Kinder im Alter von 7, 5 und 17 Monate alte Zwillinge. Sie und ihre Familie sind vor kurzem von Kansas nach Oklahoma gezogen. Und obendrein ist sie eine vollblutige Indianerin. Sie ist Nachkomme vom französisch sprechendem Chippewa Stamm. Cool, ne?!

Wir hatten viel Spaß durch die Straßen zu schlendern, haben viele coole Fotoplätze entdeckt und uns von anhieb super verstanden. Echt. Hey – wie hätte es auch anders sein können? Ich meine, wir sind fast gleich alt, sind beide neu hier und beide Mamas von Zwillingen. lol Was für ein Zufall, ne?!
