So with all the traveling Craig and I both have coming up for work this summer & fall, we decided to take the kiddos on a week-long vaca to Arlington, TX.

It is scorching HOT and HUMID out here…. but… I’m not complaining.

Our hotel is just down the street from the new Dallas Cowboys Football Stadium. Man – it’s awesome! So we decided to take a tour today and have some fun.

I finally convinced CJ that he should be playing Soccer instead of Baseball next year! YES!!

…Uh…. Papa? Where are you taking my kids??? haha Thought this shot was too funny!

It feels a little surreal to be on vacation. I’m still working while the kids are sleeping….does that still count as vacation ??? lol

We have more planned for the week but for the most part it’s just about being together as a family and having a fun, relaxing time.

Da Craig & ich viele Arbeitsausflüge vor uns haben in nächster Zeit haben wir uns gedacht, dass ein Kurzurlaub nötig ist. Also sind wir mit den Kids für diese Woche nach Arlington, Texas gefahren.

Es ist super heiß (um 21Uhr waren es immernoch 38 Grad!!!!) und super schwül…. aber wer beschwehrt sich denn schon über sowas?!

Unser Hotel ist nur ein paar Kilometer vom neuen Football Stadium der Dallas Cowboys entfernt, also haben wir zusammen mit den Kids eine Tour dort heute gemacht. Wir haben supi viel Spaß zusammen gehabt.

Oh, die Kiki ist unser großer Star! Geboren für auf die Bühne sag ich euch.

Was…weißer Streifen denkst du? Ach was….bei den Cloward Girls ist das ein Laufsteg!!! hahahahah

Ich kann irgendwie nicht glauben, dass ich tatsächlich im Urlaub bin. Ich hab meine Arbeit portal mit dabei und editiere weiterhin die tollen Fotos meiner Kunden, wenn die Kids am schlafen sind. Zählt das immernoch als Urlaub??? lol

Wir haben noch weitere Aktivitäten für den Rest der Woche geplant, aber es geht uns hauptsächlich nur darum zusammen als Familie etwas mehr Zeit zu verbringen und zusammen Spaß zu haben.

Oh i am so excited!!!!

Last fall I was flown out to UT for a fabulous collaboration with the Blend Fashions (Modbod & Undertease) team. (here) Along with a few Seasonal shots we also shot their brand new 2010 Swim line and I am so happy they finally launched this collection. I have 3 words that come to mind when looking at their new line: Modest. Stylish. Fabulous.

Oh wie ich mich gerade freue!!!!

Letzten Sommer bin ich für das Blend Fashions (Modbod & Undertease) Team nach Utah geflogen. (hier) Zusammen mit ein paar festlichen Outfits habe ich auch die neue 2010 Schwimmkollektion für sie fotografiert. Und ich freue mich total, dass sie sie endlich gelauncht haben. 3 Wörter kommen mir gleich zu Sinne wenn ich mir die Linie anschaue: Bequem. Stylisch. Fabelhaft.

Well, in case you don’t remember I mentioned Zizi’s coming up graduation a little while ago. It was supposed to be on the 10^th but with the heat wave it got postponed to today. It was very cute! Each class sang a song on stage. Zizi’s class sang the song “1, 2 buckle my shoe” which she’d been practicing for weeks now at home. I think even Kiki and C.J. can sing along with her that’s how often we had the pleasure of hearing it! Overall it was a very nice graduation. The teachers prepared a slide show of pictures of all the kids from throughout the year. Hard to believe how much the kids have changed in 1 school year.

And because today was such a special day for Zizi, of course we also had to take a couple special pictures of her. Doesn’t she look absolutely beautiful?! She totally loved having a real rose from our backyard in her hair.

Zizi – we’re super proud of you!

Only 3 more schooldays to go until summer vaca. Woohoo!

Oh falls ihr euch noch dran erinnert, ich hatte vor einiger Zeit Zizi’s KiGa Abschluss erwähnt. Eigentlich sollte er ja am 10. Stattfinden, jedoch wurde er wegen dem Hitzefrei auf heute verschoben. Es war wirklich schön! Jede Klasse hat ein Lied auf der Bühne vorgetragen. Zizi’s Klasse sang das Lied “1, 2 buckle my shoe” welches sie schon seid Wochen am üben war. Ich glaub sogar Kiki & C.J. könnten es ohne Probleme mit ihre singen, so oft durften wir ihrem Gesang zuhören! Im Ganzen war es ein toller Abschluss. Die Lehrer hatten eine Slidewhow vorbereitet mit Fotos von den Kindern vom ganzen Jahr. Kaum zu glauben wieviel sich die Kids in nur 1 Schuljahr verändert haben.

Und weil heute doch so ein besonderer Anlass war, war es natürlich der perfekte Zeitpunkt um ein paar besondere Fotos von meiner kleinen Schulabgängering zu machen. Sieht sie nicht wunderschön aus?! Sie fand es einfach genial eine echte Rose aus unserem Garten im Haar zu haben.

Zizi – wir sind sehr stolz auf dich!

Nurnoch 3 Schultage bis die Sommerferien beginnen. Hurra!

Preschool is so much fun! Zaynah loves it. And she’s doing so well, too. She’s made many friends over the two years she’s been going and is already looking forward to starting Kindergarten after this summer break.

So, last week she had her Field Day. I don’t know if any of you remember last years’ little mishap. (I didn’t know what a Field Day was, and therefore let Zizi dress up in a skirt and clapping shoes, so not appropriate for a Field Day! lol)

The weather was super and the kids had tons of fun. Between their different sports activities they all got Popsicles, even Kiki & C.J. managed to get themselves some. What a surprise! So here are a few pictures of this fun day.

Her graduation will be on the 10^th. Wow – what an accomplishment! Zizi – I’m very proud of you. You’ve progressed so much and are always enthusiastic about learning more. I love you!

Kindergarten ist einfach toll! Zaynah liebt es hinzugehen und sie ist eine ganz clevere Maus. Sie hat über die letzten 2 Jahre, die sie dort war viele gute Freunde gefunden und sie freut sich schon sehr darauf, wenn sie nach den Sommerferien mit der Vorschule anfängt.

Letzte Woche hatte sie ihr Sportfest. Ich weiß nicht, ob sich noch jemand von euch an unser kleines Dilemma von letztem Jahr erinnert. (Ich hatte keinen Blassen, was die Amis mit ‚Field Day‘ meinten und erlaubte Zizi daher sich in Rock und Klapperschuhen einzukleiden. Natürlich nicht so passend für ein Sportfest! lol)

Das Wetter war supi und die Kinder hatten einen riesen Spaß. Zwischen den verschiedenen Sportaktivitäten gab’s dann für jeden ein Wassereis, sogar Kiki & C.J. haben sich welche ergattern können. Was für eine Überraschung! Hier sind also ein paar Fotos von dem Tag.

Sie hat ihren offiziellen KiGa Abschluss am 10. Juni. Wahnsinn – was für eine Leistung! Zizi ich bin sehr stolz auf dich. Du hast schon so viel dazugelernt und bist immer wieder begeistert wenn du mal wieder etwas Neues lernst. Ich liebe dich!
