I have been a blog-slacker!!!! I apologize for not posting ANYTHING in so long. But what can I say… I’ve been really busy. Lousy excuse – I know. But it’s the truth. Aside from spending the last couple of weeks working in Europe (I cannot wait to share some of those sessions with you!!) and enjoying the company of my family back home in Germany I am now swamped again with lots of work!

This sneak peek has been ready to go live for several weeks now. I meant to post it before I left for Europe then didn’t find the time. So now I am finally getting around to it and I couldn’t be more thrilled to relive this wedding all over again. Grace and Lee are such awesome people! (Not to mention their beautiful daughter Ava!!!)

Grace’s J.Crew gown is so beautiful! Any gown/dress with pockets is a BIG hit with me. And her Juicy Couture shoes??? Uhm…. hello! Can you say fab?!

Grace pretty much knocked my socks off with the decor. I mean, as if peonies weren’t enough, no she just had to go and use those cute little yellow billy buttons! Everything was just lovely and we were blessed with a beautiful afternoon. Perfect for a backyard wedding.

Ich bin ja eine richtige Blog-Schnarchnase!!!! Sorry Leute, dass ich schon so lange nichtsmehr gebloggt habe. Ich hab auch eine gute Ausrede, ich bin zur Zeit supi beschäftigt und war wie ihr ja sicherlich schon wisst die letzten paar Wochen in Europa auf Tour. (Ich freu mich schon riesig darauf euch Fotos von der Hochzeit, den Sessions und meinen Workshops zu zeigen!!)

Wenn ihr mir ge-emailt habt bitte ich noch um etwas Geduld, da ich mich immernoch durch die Emailflut in meiner Inbox kämpfe. Ich verspreche euch zu Antworten so schnell wie’s geht.

Diese Vorschau hier von Grace & Lee’s Hochzeit ist schon richtig überfällig. Sie war fertig schon bevor ich nach Deutschland abgeflogen bin nur kam ich leider nichtmehr dazu sie euch zu zeigen. Und meine 2 Wochen gingen dann doch etwas schneller rum als geplant. (So ist das ja nunmal immer, wenn man sich amüsiert. Die Zeit vergeht viel zu schnell!) Aber ich freu mich natürlich euch jetzt endlich einen Einblick in diese Hochzeit zu geben. Die 2 (und ihre kleine Tochter Ava) sind einfach wunderbare Menschen und ich hab sie sehr in mein Herz geschlossen.

Grace’s Kleid ist von J.Crew (ich LIEBE J. Crew) und ich bin hin und weg von Kleidern die Taschen haben. Hin und weg sag ich!!! Und ihre Schuhe… oh so cool!!

Grace hat so ziehmlich alles selbst geplant und dekoriert und ich finde sie hat das alles soooo wunderschön gestaltet. Die Blumen, das Dekor…. alles total stylisch und total mein Geschmack! Und dazu kam dann noch das wir an ihrem Hochzeitstag wirklich super Wetter hatten. Perfekt für eine Hochzeit im Garten!

Grace & Lee – ich hab euch lieb und danke euch nochmals sehr, dass ihr mich ausgesucht habt um eure Hochzeit zu dokumentieren. Ich wünsche euch alles erdenklich Liebe & Gute für eure gemeinsame Zulunft und eure Familie!

I’m excited to show you pictures from Leigh & Nic’s backyard wedding. We had a lot of fun during our engagement session. That was also the day they told me that they are expecting their first child together. Such happy and exciting news!!! They are having a little girl and she is due right around my birthday, November 19th. (Leigh – you better keep her in there until I return from my Wedding trip to Canada, you hear me?!?! lol)

Anyways…. back to their wedding day. It was a super HOT day. And I was VERY tempted to jump in the pool that kept calling my name all day long. lol But heat and humidity couldn’t disturb the love and joy everyone felt during this day. It was fantastic! And Leigh was such a radiant and beautiful bride in her Maggie Sottero gown. To be a part of Leigh & Nic’s special day was a huge blessing to me. And to call them my friends – makes it all perfect.

I love you guys and I really couldn’t be more thrilled for you than I already am. I know you will make wonderful parents and I wish that your life will be filled with love, joy and good health.

Ich freue mich total euch einen Einblick in den Hochzeitstag von Leigh & Nic geben zu können. Sie haben im Garten hinter’m Haus von Nic’s Bruder geheiratet und es war einfach toll. Ich hatte schon eine super Zeit mit den beiden an unserem Verlobungsshooting, bei dem die 2 mich eingeweiht hatten, dass sie ihr 1. Kind erwarten. Leigh hat im November, nur ein paar Tage vor meinem Geburtstag am 19., ihren Geburtstermin und es wird ein Mädchen. (Ich bin bis zum 14. November für eine Hochzeit in Kanada, und Leigh, du sorgst bitte dafür, dass die Kleine min. so lange im Bauch bleibt, ne?!?! lol)

Oh, hier sieht man so richtig ihre tollen Babybauch.

Nu aber zurück zu ihrem Hochzeitstag. Es war so dermaßen heiß an dem Tag. Heiß und schwül und ich wäre am liebsten in voller Montur in den Pool gesprungen, der mich den ganzen langen Tag versucht hat zu sich zu locken. lol Doch keine Hitze und Schwüle hätte den Tag von Leigh & Nic verderben können, denn es war wirklich ein Traum. So viel Liebe und Freude die dort waren…. einfach toll! Und Leigh war so atemberaubend in ihrem Maggie Sottero Kleid. Ich freue mich wirklich total, dass ich an ihrem Tag dran teilhaben durfte, und dass ich diese 2 besonderen Menschen auch noch zu meinen Freunden zählen darf ist das i-Tüpfelchen.

Hach, die 2 sind so richtig tolle Spaßvögel. Ganz nach meinem Geschmack!! LOL

Ich hab euch 2 sehr lieb und freue mich riesig für euch. Ich weiß, dass ihr wunderbare Eltern sein werdet und wünsche euch eine gemeinsame Zukunft die voller Liebe, Freude und Gesundheit ist.

That was a fabulous vacation! We had so much fun together. And I’ll have more pictures to show you, but for now…. back to business. Wedding Business to be exact.

I am so happy I met Chelsi & Johnny. We had an amazing engagement session and I knew their wedding would be nothing less.

Chelsi looked a-m-azing in her Maggie Sottero wedding gown. Really…. I have never before seen anything like this dress. It’s gorgeous.
Their wedding was at the Embassy Suites here in Norman and I am so glad I was able to be a part of their special day!

Chelsi & Johnny, thank you so much for choosing me to be your wedding photographer. You have found your way into my heart and I love you guys! I wish you all the best for your future together.

Wir sind wieder zurück von unserem Kurzurlaub. Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit zusammen in Texas und ich hab noch mehr Fotos, die ich euch zeigen werde. Aber zu Erst geht’s wieder ran an die Arbeit. Und als nächstes freue ich mich sehr euch die Hochzeit von Chelsi & Johnny zu zeigen.

Das Verlobungsshooting mit den beiden war schon so klasse, dass ich wusste, das ihre Hochzeit mindestens genauso toll sein wird.

Chelsi sah atemberaubend in ihrem Hochzeitskleid von Maggie Sottero aus. Noch nie zuvor hab ich ein Kleid gesehen, wie Chelsi’s…einfach traumhaft!

Geheiratet wurde im Embassy Suites Hotel gleich hier in Norman und ich freue mich wirklich sehr, dass ich ein wichtiges Element von ihrem großen Tag sein durfte!

Chelsi & Johnny, vielen Dank nochmals, dass ihr mich ausgesucht habt um eure Hochzeit für euch zu dokumentieren. Ich hab euch 2 so richtig lieb gewonnen.

You might remember Shae & TJ from their engagement session here. I was really excited to shoot their wedding at the OKC Farmers Market. Not just because Shae & TJ are 2 genuinely nice and loving people, and not just because of their awesome choice of venue. Nope…. it was partially because of the theme they chose for their wedding. Beatles gone to India.

Yup – you read correctly. So Imagine lots of bright colors, very creative details and great Beatles music. Please – who wouldn’t be thrilled to be at that wedding?

Check this out …. Shae’s fingerprints are engraved to the inside of TJ’s ring. That is just so cool!

When the 2 were getting ready and I was up with the boys capturing some fun moments I could tell that TJ was getting really anxious and maybe a little too nervous. So I decided that the course of action we had planned originally needed to change and I asked the 2 of them if maybe they wanted a First Look. Help TJ settle his nerves and all. Oh and it was glorious. I think about 30lbs of weight was lifted right off his shoulders when he saw Shae, for the first time, in her beautiful Oleg Cassini dress, on the day they joined their future together as husband and wife. It was wonderful and I really encourage all my couples to consider doing a 1st Look.

I feel so blessed to have been there, to share these special moments with Shae & TJ and I pray that their future is filled with Love and Compassion. Health and Joy.

Ihr erinnert euch sicherlich noch an das Verlobungs Shooting hier, das ich mit Shae & TJ vor kurzem hatte. Ich hatte mich total auf ihre Hohzeit gefreut. Nicht nur weil ich wusste, dass sie den OKC Farmers Market ausgesucht hatten, und nicht nur weil die 2 einfach fantastische Menschen sind und man sie sehr schnell lieb hat. Ne, nicht nur deswegen, sondern war einer der Gründe das Design-Thema welches die beiden sich für ihre Hochzeit ausgesucht hatte. Beatles gehen nach Indien.

Yo – ihr habt richtig gelesen. Stellt euch also viele, knallige Farben und super coole Details vor. Und dazu super Beatles Musik! Also bitte – wer würde denn nicht gerne bei so einer Hochzeit mit dabei sein?

Als ich bei den Vorbereitungen etwas Zeit mit den Jungs verbrachte merkte ich wie aufgeregt und nervös TJ wurde. Also hab ich unseren eigentlich geplanten Ablauf in den Wind geschossen und die beiden gefragt, ob sie nicht doch einen 1st Look haben wollten. Der arme TJ hat mir schon fast leid getan, so nervös war der Süße. hihi Och, und ich bin so froh, dass sie so kurzfristig offen waren für meine Idee. Es ist immer so berührend das Brautpaar zu beobachten, wenn sie sich das erste Mal sehen. Und den Moment als TJ durch die Tür kam, Shae sich in ihem wunderschönen Oleg Cassini Kleid zu ihm drehte, ich glaub TJ und mein Herz blieb stehen für ein paar Sekunden. Es war atemberaubend. Ich wünschte mehr meiner Paare würden sich für einen 1st Look entscheiden.

Die Torte war soooo lecker!

Ich fühle mich gesegnet und geehrt, dass ich diesen besonderen Tag mit Shae & TJ teilen durfte. Ich bete, dass ihre Zukunft voller Liebe und Mitgefühl, Gesundheit und Freude ist.
