For what might you ask now…well…. for signing the papers of course.
What papers? Well… for the 4.4acres of land we bought in Purcell, OK to build our new house of course. What else did you think?

We are super excited and anxious for the new home and land. Even the kids can’t wait to move again, to have cattle, horses and donkeys for neighbors. To have, as per their request, upstairs bedrooms. lol I will of course keep you informed and up to date on the process with the house, the move and everything else.

One of the many reasons why I am so excited to move is the land we will own. I will be able to have photo shoots right in my backyard.

And Amy & Matt were my first couple ever to be shot on the new Cloward property! It’s currently a haven for crickets, grass hoppers, ticks and spiders. lol But Amy & Matt were brave enough to face all of that and walk away with amazing pictures.

This is just around the corner from our new property! Eeeek….. so exciting.

Amidst all those creepy crawly things…. oh these two were brave and we had a ton of fun!

This coming week the Clan and I will be sorta on vacation, so all orders, emails, etc….. will be processed once I’m back home again. I cannot wait to relax a little, especially since I have my big trip to Germany & even a stop to Paris, France coming up in just a couple weeks for lots and lots of work.

Wofür fragt ihr euch? Na für das Unterscheiben der Papiere!
Was für Papiere? Natürlich die für unsere 1,78 Hektar Land in Purcell, Oklahoma auf dem wir unser neues Haus bauen werden. Was denn sonst?

Wir freuen uns schon total. Sogar die Kids sind sehr begeistert, denn wir werden u.a. Kühe, Pferde und Esel als Nachbarn haben. Und, wie sie es sich gewünscht haben, werden die Schlafzimmer auf der 2. Etage sein wie wir es in unserem alten Haus in Connecticut hatten. lol Ich werde euch natürlich auf dem Laufenden halten und die aktuellsten Fortschritte für euch fotgrafisch dokumentieren.

Einer der vielen Gründe, weshalb ich mich so sehr auf das neue Grundstück und das neue Haus freue, ist das ich dort die Möglichkeit habe Fotoshootings gleich hinter’m Haus im Garten abzuhalten.

Und Amy & Matt waren das aller Erste Paar, dass ich mit auf unser Grundstück genommen habe für den letzten Teil ihres Verlobungsshootings. Zur Zeit ist es das reinste Paradies für Grillen, Grashüpfer, Zecken & Spinnen. haha Doch die beiden haben sich allem Übel gestellt und sind mit wunderschönen Fotos davongekommen, wenn ich mal so frei sein darf.

Und nach der Session hab ich einen tollen Sonnenunterang genossen. Hach – ich freue mich schon sehr.

Die kommende Woche werden mein Clan und ich einen kleinen Urlaub machen. Alle emails, Bestellungen, etc…. werden beantwortet, wenn ich wieder zu Hause bin. Ich freu mich schon sehr auf diese kleine Pause, bevor ich in ein paar Wochen meine große Reise nach Trier und sogar nach Paris auf mich nehmen werde für viele, viele Shootings mit vielen wunderbaren Menschen.

Amy & Matt, vielen Dank für einen spaßigen Nachmittag und dafür, dass ihr 2 einfach klasse seid! Ich freu mich schon auf eure Hochzeit in ein paar Monaten und ich hoffe ihr genießt eure Vorschau.

Just to let all of you know…. Yes. Norman was hit by Tornadoes yesterday. And yes, we’re okay! Aside from fence damage our house has been untouched and we’re all up and well. Thank you all for your love!

Now…. I had to blog about this couple before I shoot their wedding this weekend. (Yes Shae…. it’s almost here!!! eeeeeek)

I had so much fun with these 2. They’ve been together for quite some time and I think it shows. Even though they say the camera doesn’t love them….the camera certainly does. And at least my camera loves to capture their love. Oh wait…that’s me.

Shae & TJ – I cannot wait for this weekend. Thank you so much for a fun afternoon and of course for choosing me to be your photographer and therefore giving me the opportunity to capture your LOVE!

Zu erst möchte ich euch Danken für eure Fürsorge und Liebe. Denn ja, gestern sind gleich mehrere Tornados durch Norman gebraust. Glücklicherweise geht es uns gut und bis auf einen Zaunschaden hat es uns nicht wirklich erwischt.

Und nun…. muß ich doch auch eine Vorschau von der Session zeigen, die ich mit Shae und TJ vor kurzem hatte. Bevor sie dieses WE heiraten werden…hihi (Shae…nurnoch ein paar Tage bis zum großen Tag!!!)

Ich hatte so einen Spaß mit den beiden. Die 2 sind jetzt schon seid vielen Jahren zusammen und ich finde man sieht es ihnen richtig an. Obwohl sie der Meinung sind, dass sie nicht so fotogen sind….ich bin da ganz anderer Ansichten. Ich finde die Kamera liebt sie. Zumindestens liebt meine Kamera es ihre Liebe einzufangen! Ach was… nee…das bin doch ich, die das liebt.

Shae & TJ – ich freu mich schon total auf eure anstehende Hochzeit dieses WE. Ich danke euch für einen sehr spaßigen Nachmittag und natürlich dafür, dass ihr mich als eure Hochzeitsfotografin ausgesucht habt. Ich fühle mich geehrt, dass ich die Möglichkeit bekommen habe eure LIEBE zu dokumentieren!

I feel very blessed! I have such wonderful clients. And my 2010 Wedding clients are awesome! I am so excited for each of their weddings. So excited for all of them to start their ‘adventure’ together as husband and wife. Because that’s how I see it. Every day with my hubby is an adventure. A surprise, because there is not one day the same as the last. And Love, with a capital L, is such a wonderful and magical thing. I get goosebumps and feel like giggling like a 3 year old every time I have the privilege to document someone else’s Love. It’s an honor and simply put – a beautiful, joyful thing. At least to me.

Leigh and Nic are 2 of those beautiful people where you can just tell how much they love each other by being around them. Their wedding will be in June and I just know it’ll be beautiful – just like them. I don’t just think…. I know their future is full of wonderful surprises!

Ich fühle mich sehr gesegnet! Ich hab so tolle Kunden. Und meine 2010 Hochzeitspaare sind einfach nur spitze! Ich freu mich auf all ihre Hochzeiten. Ich freu mich für sie mit darauf, dass sie ihr ‘Abenteuer’ als Mann & Frau beginnen können. Denn so empfinde ich meine Ehe. Ein Abenteuer. Jeder Tag mit meinem Schatz ist ein Neuer, und immer anders als der davor. Und Liebe ist etwas so wundervolle und magisches. Ich kriege jedes Mal Gänsehaut und fang an zu kickeln wie eine 3-jährige wenn ich das Privileg habe die Liebe von jemand anderem zu dokumentieren. Es ist eine Ehre und ganz einfach gesagt – etwas ganz agnz wunderbares! Zumindestens für mich.

Leigh & Nic sind 2 Menschen, bei denen man sofort erkennt wie sehr sie sich lieben, wenn man in ihrer Nähe ist. Ihre Hochzeit wird im Juni stattfinden und ich bin mir sicher, dass es ganz toll wird – so wie sie es auch sind. Ich denke nicht nur, sondern weiß, dass ihre Zukunft voller glücklichen Überraschungen steckt!

Oh this session was so much fun. It was cold and wet the day of our shoot but Reagan and Jared planned ahead and scouted some awesome indoor locations.

These two are crazy about books…. like me! I think I take my kiddos to the library at least once every 10 days. I love it! So choosing a bookstore as one of our locations just came naturally. And we started the session at Guestroom Records downtown Norman. Never even knew the store existed. It’s AWESOME!!! They are book and music lovers, totally cute together and I couldn’t have asked for better subjects to photograph.

Dieses Fotoshooting hat einfach nur Spaß gemacht! Es war an einem kalten und verregnetem Tag, doch Reagan & Jared hatten sich super für unsere Session vorbereitet und 2 Lokationen ausgesucht bei denen wir drinnen im Warmen und Trockenen fotografieren konnten.

Die 2 sind fast so verrückt wie ich auf Bücher!! So cool. Ich gehe bestimmt min. 1x alle 10 Tage mit den Kids zur Bibliothek. Wir lieben es! Also war es keine Überraschung für mich, als wir für einen Teil der Fotos zu einer Bücherei düsten. Begonnen hatten wir das Shooting allerdings in einem Plattenladen. Die 2 lieben nämlich u.a. auch Musik. Ich wusste garnicht dass es diesen Plattenladen gleich hier in Norman gibt. So cool! Da werde ich mit sicherheit noch öfter drin fotografieren. Die 2 lieben Musik & Bücher, wie man anhand der Fotos sieht sind sie sehr verschmust und romantisch und ich hätte mir wirklich keine 2 besseren Models aussuchen können.

“Ich sehe was, was du nicht siehst” hat uns gute 10 Minuten lang amüsiert. haha

Die 2 haben so eine wahnsinnig tolle Chemie!
