You might recognize Paula from a session I had back in June while in Germany of her and her family. Well…. 2 weeks ago I drove south to San Antonio for my 101 Workshop and to Austin to photograph Paula & Justin’s wedding. Since we didn’t have the luxury to meet for a Bridal Session due to her living in Germany we managed to set aside some time during the actual wedding day for some bridal shots.

Paula got her dress for free!!! Yup – you read correctly. If you are engaged to a Soldier who is deployed be sure to check out ‘Brides Across America’ and maybe you can win a free dress as well!

Okay…so I teased Paula with this image on Facebook…. haha… seriously. What do you do when you get married in Texas on a day with 105F and 79% humidity? You run around with a gallon of water and stay hydrated! Paula – you rock!!!

Vielleicht erkennt der eine oder die andere Paula von einer Session die ich im Juni in Deutschland mit ihr und ihrer Familie hatte. Vor ca. 2 Wochen bin ich die Strecke runter in den Süden gefahren nach San Antonio für meinen 101 Workshop und nach Austin um die Hochzeit von Paula & Justin zu fotografieren. Wir hatten leider nicht die Zeit eine richtige Brautsession zu organisieren, da Paula ja schließlich noch bis vor einer kurzen Zeit in Deutschland war. Aber wir haben uns etwas Zeit am eigentlichen Hochzeitstag eingeplant um für sie ein paar Brautfotos zu machen.

Paula hatte diesen tollen Fecher dabei. Super Idee!

Ob ihr’s glaubt oder nicht, aber Paula hat ihr Kleid umsonst bekomme. Ja – ihr habt richtig gelesen….für lau! Wenn ihr verlobt seid mit einem US-Soldaten der ‘deployed’ ist müsst ihr euch unbedingt mal ‘Brides Across America’ anschaun und vielleicht kannst auch du ein Hochzeitskleid gewinnen!

Boah – und schaut euch mal diese Fotos an, die ich im Wartezimmer der Braut fotografiert habe. Sieht sie nicht original aus wie eine Braut aus Barock Zeiten?

Ihr erinnert euch mit Sicherheit noch an die super talentierte Becky. Sie hat wie schon angesprochen Paula geschminkt und ihre Haare gestylt. Sie hat sich mal wieder selbst übertroffen und saubere Arbeit geleistet.

Paula du bist wunderschön. Du siehst wirklich aus wie eine tatsächliche Prinzessin. Und ich kann es nicht oft genug sagen – danke dass du mich ausgesucht hast um eure Hochzeit für euch zu fotografieren. Ich hoffe dir gefällt deine Vorschau…..und ich hoffe, dass die Fotos Justin’s Atem verschlagen werden! xox

P.S.: …. und weil ich laut Paula es angeblich liebe sie mit meiner Fotovorschau zu necken…. hier ein kleiner Vorgeschmack auf was noch kommen wird!!!!

I’m just about ready to start preparations for Zi’s b-day party tomorrow….but…. of course I had to get some work done today as well.

So….. without further ado…. let me tell you about my 101 Workshop I had with the super fabulous Becky. You know her. You’ve read a lot about her. You’ve seen a lot of her on here in the past…..and I’m sure there will be even more in the future. She contacted me months ago to do my 101 Workshop. Last week I had to drive down to Texas to shoot the AWESOME wedding of Paula & Justin in Austin and of course we used this opportunity to combine the two during my trip.

Becky is so very talented! She was our MUA and stylist for the day…meaning… she did hair and make-up for our beautiful model Chrissy. After spending some time talking about photography, getting our models for the day ready, we headed out to one of the many beautiful missions down in San Antonio, Mission Concepción.

Ich fang gleich mit den Vorbereitungen für Zi’s morgige Geburtstagsfeier an. Aber vorher musste ich natürlich noch ein bißchen Arbeit leisten.

Ohne groß um den Brei zu reden….lasst mich euch ein bißchen von meinem 101 Workshop begeistern, den ich letzte Woche mit der wunderbaren Becky hatte. Ihr kennt sie sicherlich mitlerweile schon alle. Wenn ihr meinen Blog verfolgt habt ihr sicherlich schon so einiges von ihr hier gelesen. Ihr habt auf jeden Fall schon einiges von ihr hier gesehen…..und es wird mit Gewißheit noch mehr in der Zukunft von ihr hier gezeigt werden. Sie hatte mich vor einigen Monaten kontaktiert für meinen 101 Workshop. Und da ich letzte Woche sowieso runter nach Texas musste um die fabelhafte Hochzeit von Paula & Justin zu dokumentieren, haben wir beides verbunden.

Soooooo toll!!!

Becky ist so talentiert! Sie war Visa und Stylistin für unsere 101 Models. Genauer gesagt, sie hat sich um’s make-up und die Haare für unsere Models gekümmert. Nachdem wir also ein bißchen über die Theorie der Fotografie gesprochen haben, unsere Models fertig gestylt haben, sind wir zu einer der vielen tollen Missions in San Antonio gefahren. Ausgesucht hatte ich die Mission Concepción.

Und hier ein Foto aus Becky’s Perspektive nachdem es durch meine EBV (Bildbearbeitung) geschickt wurde.

Und hier noch ein Foto, das Becky geschossen hat und danach durch meine EBV ging. Sie wollte es erst in den Müllkorb schicken weil sie mit der Belichtung nicht zufrieden war…. hach, was für ein Glück, dass ich sie noch vorher davon abhalten konnte! Ich liebe dieses Foto!!!!!!!

Ich hatte so eine tolle Zeit mit dir Becky. Ich hab dich sehr lieb und bin so stolz auf deine Leistungen. Ich kann es kaum erwarten deinen weitere Werdegang als Fotografin zu beobachten. Bis nächstes WE meine Liebe!

August 8th was the big day for Amanda & Forrest. It was a beautiful day. Beautiful ceremony, fun and fabulous reception. I feel very honored to have been a part of their special day.

We met for pictures before the ceremony…. and Forrest’s phone seemed to be ringing off the hook. It was so funny!!

Amanda & Forrest – I hope you had a terrific time on your honeymoon. I can’t wait to hear all about it. You two are very special people and I wish you guys nothing but the best for your future together! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek and your slideshow.

Am 8. August war die Hochzeitstag von Amanda & Forrest. Es war ein wunderbarer Tag. Die Trauung war wunderschön und alle hatten einen riesen Spaß bei der Feier danach. Ich fühle mich so geehrt, dass ich diesen besnderen Tag nicht nur mit ihnen zusammen verbringen, sondern für sie dokumentieren durfte.

Wir haben uns vor der Trauung für ihre Hochzeitsfotos getroffen und ich sag euch … das Handy vom Bräutigam hat ständig geklingelt. Das war einfach zu lustig!!

Amanda & Forrest – ich hoffe ihr hatte unvergessliche Flitterwochen. Ich freu mich schon über euren Bericht. Ihr 2 seid ganz besondere Menschen und ich wünsche euch nur das Beste für eure gemeinsame Zukunft! Ich hoffe euch gefällt eure Vorschau und eure Slideshow.

Happy Easter everyone! Hope you enjoy this wonderful weekend celebrating and remembering Christ’s resurrection.

I’m fighting a terrible migraine and since I’m already laying down I figured I could use this opportunity to blog about my TTD – couture bridal session I had last week with the fabulous Hayley.

For those of you who do not know what TTD stands for – TTD means Trash the Dress. This is something offered to all my brides and those who have been married and would like to do something fun and extravagant with their dress that’s been hanging in their closet for how ever long.

Hayley has been married for 3 years and didn’t get her Bridals taken when she got married. Obviously she’s very beautiful but she is also a strong, faithful, warmhearted person and it was such a blessing and joy to work with her.

Since I wanted to give her the queen-B treatment I recruited my very own team of make-up and hair artists. Amy & Gwendolyn came down to work their magic and they simply outdid themselves. For all you brides out there looking for the perfect team to take care of you on your special day – these 2 are the one’s to call!

The day of the shoot was once again one of those dreadfully cold and windy days. About 40degrees with 40mph winds. It was crazy! But we still managed to come away with stellar pictures and Hayley simply rocked it!

We went to some new locations here around Norman. My favorite one was this magnificent tree that I had driven by so many times and just knew it would be perfect for this kind of shoot and add that dramatic effect.

I’m so excited to blog about this shoot – you have no idea! I’ve been wanting to do a TTD couture Bridal for quite some time now, and to be able to do it with Hayley and work with such a talented team for her hair and make-up was just the icing on the cake. It was perfect!

To all you brides-to-be out there, whether I’m shooting your wedding or not, whether you’ve been married for 1 week, 1 month, 1 year…heck even 10 years…. if you want to have fun with your dress and are ready for a top-model experience….give me a call! I’d love to work with you!

Ich wünsche euch allen Frohe Ostern! Ich liebe Ostern. Ich liebe es die Auferstehung Christi feiern zu können.

Heute kämpfe ich leider mit einer bösen Migraine und ich dachte mir, wenn ich schonmal flach im Bett liege nutze ich die Zeit um über mein TTD Cutoure Brautmoden Fotoshoot zu bloggen, dass ich letzte Woche mit der fantastischen Hayley hatte.

Für alle die unter euch, die nicht wissen wofür TTD steht – TTD ist kurz für Trash the Dress. Ein TTD Shooting ist für alle Bräute, die schon verheiratet sind und Lust auf etwas extravagantes mit ihrem Hochzeitskleid haben. Das Hochzeitskleid das ggf. schon seid einer Ewigkeit nur im Schrank rumhängt.

Hayley ist seid 3 Jahren verheiratet und hatte an ihrer Hochzeit nicht die Mögleichkeit Brautfotos zu bekommen. Wie man anhand der Fotos sehen kann ist sie bildhübsch, aber sie ist auch eine starke, selbstbewusste, glaubenstreue Frau und ich fühle mich so gesegnet, dass ich mit ihr zusammen arbeiten durfte und sie kennengelernt habe.

Da ich ihr das Gefühl einer Königing geben wollte habe ich für unseren Shoot auch noch extra eine Visagistin und Friseuse rekrutiert. Amy & Gwendolyn waren einfach spitze und haben zusammen gearbeitet um Hayley noch schöner zu machen, als sie eh schon ist.  Für alle diejenigen unter euch, die für ihre Hochzeit noch auf der Suche nach einem super Team sind sagt mir Bescheid und ich geb euch die Info von meinem Dreamteam!

Am Tag von unserem Shooting hatten wir mal wieder ‘Pech’ mit dem typischen Oklahoma Wetter. Es war kalt und super windig. Ca. 5Grad Celsius und 65kmh Wind mit dem wir zu kämpfen hatten. Da wird man echt noch verrückt hier! Trotz des Wetters haben wir wahnsinn’s Fotos bekommen. Hayley hat sich dem Wetter entgegengestellt und war ein Traum!

Wir sind hier in Norman zu ein paar neuen Locations gegangen, die ich ausprobieren wollte. Mein Lieblingsplatz an dem Tag war bei diesem großen Baum. Ich bin schon so oft dran vorbeigefahren und wusste, dass es ein perfekter Ort für solche Fotos wäre. Ich finde es gibt dem Ganzen das gewisse etwas….das dramatische Element!

Ihr könnt euch nicht vorstellen wie aufgeregt ich bin über dieses Shooting zu bloggen! Ich wollte schon seid einer Weile ein TTD Couture Brautmoden Shoot machen. Ich bin do dankbar das ich zusammen mit Hayley und dem super talentierten Team von Visa & Co. arbeiten konnte. Das Shooting war wirklich ein vollster Erfolg!

Für alle unter euch die bald heiraten, egal ob ich eure Hochzeit fotografiere oder nicht, oder vielleicht seid ihr ja auch schon verheiratet. Verheiratet seid 1 Woche, 1 Monat, 1 Jahr ….pah….seid 10 Jahren! Wenn ihr Lust dazu habt euch nochmal euer Hochzeitskleid anzuziehen und von Kopf bis Fuss von Professionellen bedient werden wollt, einen Tag sich wie ein Top Model zu fühlen…..dann meldet euch bei mir! Ich würde mich sehr freuen mit euch zusammen zu arbeiten!
