This cutie pie turned 1 last week. And mommy, daddy, big sis and I got together last weekend to capture this special milestone in Kyndal’s life.

Oh my heavens….. can I just say that I adooooore these girls. Especially in their fabulous tutus!!! (Which btw… Kyndal’s was a gift from one of my past clients. Yup Ali – you rock and I need you to make me 2 of those for my girls! lol)

So we met at the OKC Old Farmers Market and we had a lucky break in between all the rain we’ve been having lately. The afternoon and setting sun was just to die for!

I think I want this on a big canvas for my office!

Die kleine Maus Kyndal hatte letzte Woche ihren 1. Geburtstag. Also haben Mami, Papi, große Schwester und ich uns am WE getroffen um dieses besondere Ereignis für sie festzuhalten.

Oh meine Güte…..ich bin ja so hin und weg von diesen 2 zuckersüßen Mädels. Besonders in ihren Tütüs!!! (Welche mal so nebenbei eine meiner Kundinnen für sie gemacht hat. Yo Ali – Daumen hoch! Ich hätte bitte auch gerne 2 für meine Mädels! lol)

Wir haben uns in Oklahoma City getroffen und wir hatten ein riesen Glück mit dem Wetter. In letzter Zeit hatten wir hier nämlich viel Regen doch für unser Shooting hatten wir wundervolle Nachmittagssonne und einen wahnsinnig schönen Sonnenuntergang!

Schafers – danke dass ihr uns zur Feier eingeladen habt. Danke, dass ich eure tolle Familie, eure süßen Mädels für euch fotografieren durfte! Ihr seid klasse und ich hoffe euch gefällt eure Vorschau.

So here’s Kayla’s official Senior Session that I promised you a few weeks back.

We got up early in the morning (during our camping trip!!! How crazy is that?!) and headed out for the shoot. Luckily the rural Waco, TX area has tons of cool locations to offer. While driving around we found some awesome run down houses. Sadly we couldn’t go inside since it was infested with LOTS of spiders and gazillions of wasp nests…one bigger than the next.

Okay… so in front of one of the houses was also an old metal trash bin that looked like a giant can for green beans! haha Anyways… while I tried to move that can around I noticed something inside of it…. no…. not an animal, although I’m sure there were all kinds of creepy crawlers living in there. haha Nope – I found something really, I mean REALLY cool. This old rusty umbrella!!!!!!! Don’t you just love it??? I know I do – that’s why I kept it and it’s now officially part of my box of props! HA!!!! I’m so excited to use it again for some future shoots.

I envisioned this next shot before I took it, snapped it, and immediately checked it in-cam… the word that came to my mind ……. ‘Evanescence’..as is Amy Lee from the group Evanescence. Kayla – you’re GORGEOUS!!!!

Don’t know how many hours of sleep she did manage to get sleeping on the ground but nevertheless she rocked it out!

Kayla – I love you girl! You are one fabulous chick and I hope your senior year will be one to never forget! Can’t wait to see you again for the movie premier of ‘New Moon’.

Wie ich vor ein paar Wochen euch versprochen habe ist nun hier die Fotosession die ich mit Kayla für ihr Abitur hatte.

Wir haben zusammen gelabert, geblödelt und getanzt….sprich wir hatten einen Morz Spaß!

Wir sind ganz früh morgens aufgestanden (und das während unserem Zeltausflug!!! Wie verrückt sind wir denn bitteschön?!) Zum Glück gab’s in Waco, TX in der verlassenen Landschaft wo wir waren genug coole Locations für unsere Session. Als wir durch die Gegend gefahren sind habe wir 2 richtig coole, heruntergekommene, verlassene Häuser entdeckt….oder was noch davon übrig war. lol Leider konnten wir nicht reingehen, weil es da drin nur so von Spinnen und Milliunen Wespennestern wimmelte.

Craig hatte uns sogar eine Stelle empfohlen die er auf dem Weg zur Tankstelle fand. Kurz nachdem wir allerdings da waren und ein paar Fots geschossen hatten, haben wir Schüsse gehört. Keine Sorge… es war nur der Besitzer des Grundstücks der…nein, nicht uns verjagen wollte, sondern irgendwelche Vögel am jagen war. hahahaha

Ich habe keine Ahnung wieviele Stunden Kayla die Nacht davor schlafen konnte, wenn überhaupt, aber sie hat sich von Müdigkeit nichts anmerken lassen. Sie war einfach super und wir hatten einen riesen Spaß!

Und weil wir schonmal an einem coolen See waren, mussten wir natürlich auch an’s Wasser gehen.

Kayla – ich hab dich sehr lieb! Du bist eine super coole junge Dame und ich hoffe dein Abiturjahr wird ein unvergessliches Jahr für dich werden! Ich freu mich schon wenn wir uns zur ‘New Moon’ Premiere im November wiedersehen.

I know….I’m only about a month late… haha…. but hey…. I was am busy!

So…. check out the awesome cake I made for my Zi girl. Oh… I am so proud of myself….hihi It was very delicious.

Thanks to our wonderful friends…… we had a blast! You made Zi’s Day very special. We totally got lucky with the weather and the kids had a blast playing games outside.

Zizi….I cannot believe you’re already 6 years old. You’re my sunshine and I love you with all my heart!

Ich weiß….Zi’s Geburtstag ist jetzt schon fast einen Monat her… aber… besser spät als nie, ne?! Ich war bin halt sehr beschäftigt!

Wir hatten einen Riesen Spaß! Es war tolles Wetter und die Kids haben es genossen draußen zu spielen.

Zizi…. ich kann nicht glauben, dass du jetzt schon 6 bist. Du bist mein großer Sonnenschein und ich liebe dich von ganzem Herzen!

Wow…. I have to apologize…. it’s taken me way too long to sneak peek this beautiful wedding. The reason for the delay was 1. last weekends camping trip and 2…. boy – I have sooooo many beautiful pictures from his wedding that I had a really hard time choosing which ones to sneak peek. So…. since I believe everyone is just as eager as me to see the pictures, to recap this unforgettable event. This day filled with so much love and happiness. Beauty and Joy. This day really was a very special day. I felt the spirit so strongly. I know the Lord wanted these 2 souls to be together and I am 100% sure that angels were smiling and cheering for them that day. Seriously – I was so happy, and moved during the ceremony that I was barely able to contain my own tears of joy.

Something that really touched not just my heart but my spirit as well was the Prayer Circle Alison had with her girls…and 1 guy. lol It was beautiful.

Now when I talked to these 2 about their wedding day Alison was quick to point out to me that she didn’t really care to have tons of shots of her coming down the aisle since she “knows what she looks like”. She specifically asked me to capture Ryan’s reaction when he saw her walking those last steps towards him. I tell you – if you ask me he couldn’t have reacted any better than he did…well… maybe he could have swooned…lol But I’m sure he was pretty darn close to it.

Oh – don’t get me wrong…. the ceremony was also lots of fun. I think everyone present got a kick out of Alison & Ryan’s impatience towards the end to finally be called Mr. & Mrs.! lol It was too cute. And I’m pretty sure Ryan surprised everyone by his little victory dance back down the aisle with his new and beautiful bride in towe….haha Ryan – you ROCK!

Wow…. ich muß mich bei euch entschuldigen….ihr musstet viel länger als erwartet auf die Vorschau von dieser Hochzeit warten. Es gibt 2 Gründe warum es mich diesmal etwas länger gebraucht hat. 1. weil wir doch letzte WE zelten waren. Und der 2. Grund ist einfach, weil ich sooooo viele tolle Fotos von diesem Tag habe. Ich hatte wirklich eine schwere Zeit mir meine Favoriten für einen Blogeintrag auszusuchen. Ich mag es nämlich überhaupt nicht, besonders von einer Hochzeit, zu bloggen und dem Betrachter nicht einen tiefen Eindruck von dieser Hochzeit zu geben. Ich möchte, dass du als Leser durch meine Fotos das Gefühl bekommst an diesem Tag auch mit dabei gewesen zu sein. Und das geht halt einfach am besten durch viele Fotos.

Nach dem Empfang und dem Kuchen gab’s für einige Gäste eine kurze Verschnaufspause bevor es weiter ging zur eigentlichen Feier. Alison, Ryan und ich haben diese Zeit genutzt um ein paar Fotos nur von den frischvermählten zu machen.
