Holy smokes … I cannot believe I am leaving for my 2 week trip to Germany in just 3 days. I have yet to pack, and am still running around as if my departure was another month away. I sure hope Craig will manage without me. By himself….with 3 kids. Babe – I love you!

Now on to some other …very fun….very hot…very sweet things! I worked extra hours (man…sometimes it stinks being the boss….and not getting paid extra for overtime) last night because of my trip to Germany. I wanted to make sure that Amy & Josh got to see their sneak peek before I leave. Before the craziness of a Workshop, a Wedding and tons of sessions begins.

Amy is Taylor’s aunt. Her and Josh are getting married this July and we met yesterday to take their engagement pictures. We went some new locations. Locations I officially LOVE! The sun was high and bright yesterday and we got away with TONS of fabulous images. Seriously you guys….I’ll be posting TONS here… but that’s just a sneak peek! I have LOTS of pictures for you.  Amy kept saying what ‘terrible’ models they make….and really – she could not have been any more wrong. You two were perfect. Not just for me as your photographer, but I can tell for each other as well. I love this one. Thanks guys for being so awesome and climbing in the tree for me. lol

Amy – you have such a captivating smile. Don’t you ever dare say you’re not photogenic again! You hear me?!

Amy and Josh are fabulous people and I feel so blessed to have met them. The gypsy (his – not my words! and based on the fact that Amy’s lived in almost as many places as me) has found herself the perfect man to put her roots down. And the country boy (Josh grew up on a farm in Texas) has met the perfect match to show him the world. Like I said before…..perfect! Josh – you’re such a hunk!

Meine Herren….ich kann nicht glauben, dass ich schon in 3 Tagen abfliege für meine 2 Wochen in Deutschland. Ich hab noch nichts gepackt und renn jeden Tag noch rum, mach erledigungen, als wär mein Abflug erst in einem Monat. Ich hoffe Craig kommt ohne mich klar. Ganz alleine…..mit 3 Kids. Schatz – ich liebe dich! Okay….jetzt wird aber über eine anderes Thema gesprochen…. was Spaßiges…. was Scharfes….was Süßes! Ich hab extra Überstunden gearbeitet (Mensch….manchmal nervt es echt wenn man sein eigener Chef ist und keine Überstunden bezahlt bekommt) letzte Nacht wegen meinem bevorstehendem Deutschland Ausflug. Aber ich wollte auf Nummer sicher gehen, dass ich die Vorschau für Amy & Josh noch vor meinem Abflug bloggen kann. Bevor die Tollheit mit meinem Workshop, einer Hochzeit und sämtlichen Shootings für mich beginnt. Was für ein süßes Paar! Heiß, ne?! Und schaut euch mal diesen super Ring an! Hat Josh toll ausgesucht. Amy ist die Tante von Taylor. Sie und Josh werden anfang Juli heiraten und wir haben uns gestern getroffen um ihre Verlobungsfotos zu machen. Wir haben ein paar neue Locations ausprobiert und ich muss sagen, dass ich sie liebe! Die Sonne stand hoch oben am Himmel und schien wie verrückt und wir haben eine ganze Menge toller Fotos bekommen. Echt ihr Zwei — das hier ist nur eine ‘Vorschau’… ich hab noch viel mehr wo die herkommen. Macht euch auf was gefasst! Amy hatte ständig genörgelt, dass sie doch sicherlich die schrecklichsten Models überhaupt für mich wären…..und echt – sie hätte nicht mehr falsch mit diesen Kommentaren liegen können. Ihr 2 seid einfach perfekt. Nicht nur für mich als Fotografin, sondern auch für euch selbst.

Amy & Josh sind 2 ganz tolle Menschen und ich fühl mich gesegnet sie gestern kennengelernt zu haben. Die Zigeunerin (Josh’s Worte, nicht meine….und das beruht darauf, dass Amy fast so oft umgezogen ist wie ich) hat den perfekten Mann gefunden um endlich ihre Wurzeln zu schlagen. Und der Bauernbub (Josh ist auf einer großen Farm in Texas aufgewachsen) hat die perfekte Frau gefunden um ihm die Welt zu zeigen. Wie ich schon sagte….perfekt!

Erinnert ihr euch an das tolle grüne Feld von den Fotos mit meinen Mädels? Nix mehr grün — ist jetzt braun.

Presley’s mom contacted me a little while ago to document her daughter’s 1st birthday party. I love being around kids so I got really excited for the party. When she told me that she (handmade!) tutus and antennas for all the girls to look like ladybugs – I was thrilled.

Seriously — how cute is she?! Happy 1st birthday Presley!

Aren’t they such a cute family?

And look at these cupcakes!!! Not just kissed by sprinkles but by perfect lighting as well — how could I resist?!

The party was on her actual birthday last Tuesday and I feel so honored that you guys chose me to document this special event for you. Presley is absolutely darling and I had such a wonderful time with you and your family. I’ve put together a little selections of my umpteen hundred pictures or so.

Oh –and check out this cute little girl. I think she’s Presley’s cousin – but please correct me if I’m wrong.

Presley’s Mama hatte mich vor einer Weile kontaktiert um die 1. Geburtstagsfeier für ihre Tochter zu dokumentieren. Ich liebe es umringt von Kids zu sein, also hatte ich mich schon sehr gefreut auf die Feier. Als sie mir dann mitteilte, das sie selbstgemachte Tütüs und Fühler für alle Mädels gemacht hat, damit sie wie Marienkäfer aussehen, war ich hin und weg.

Echt – wie süß ist das denn bitteschön?! Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum 1. Geburtstag Presley!

Sind sie nicht eine süße kleine Familie?

Ich mag das Foto hier total. Hab den Opi erwischt, wie er Presley und ihren Papi im Pool fotografiert hat.

Die feier fand an ihrem eigentlichen Geburtstag letzte Woche Dienstag statt und ich fühle mich sehr geehrt, dass sie mich ausgesucht haben um dieses besondere Ereignis für sie festzuhalten. Presley ist so eine süße Maus und ich hatte eine tolle Zeit zusammen mit ihr und ihrer Familie. Ich habe ein paar Collagen zusammengestellt von den zisch Hundert Fotos die ich gemacht habe.  

Ich hoffe euch gefällt eure Vorschau und ich freue mich schon Presley in den kommenden Jahren weiter zu dokumentieren.

Nora…..I love this name. Almost wish I would’ve chosen it for my Kiki. Maybe I’ll just have to have another girl…..or maybe not.

Either way — I want you to meet little Nora. It’s not just her name that’s beautiful, but but also her spirit, her personality … it’s simply Nora! I met her and her parents Monday afternoon for our photo shoot. We went to one of my favorite spots here in Norman and I am very excited to share this sneak peek with you.

Everything is so beautiful and green right now – I love it. And the weather on Monday was just perfect…even though we got attacked by tons of mosquitoes. The lighting was exquisite. I really have so many beautiful pictures and I hope I was able to capture Nora’s personality. Mommy got a few pictures with beautiful Nora too as a Father’s Day gift. All you mommies out there — this is a perfect gift idea for this year’s Father’s Day which is coming up in just a few weeks. I will be out of the Country for a destination wedding during the first 2 weeks of June. So if you want pictures to give to Daddy this year…you gotta get in touch with me soon!

Nora…..was für ein toller Name. Ich wünschte fast wir hätten den Namen anstelle Kiki’s genommen. Vielleicht muss ich einfach noch ein Mädchen kriegen…..oder auch nicht.

So oder so — ich stelle vor die kleine, süße Nora. Und es ist nicht nur ihr Name der so toll ist, sondern auch ihr Geist und ihr Persönlichkeit … es ist einfach Nora selbst! Ich hatte mich Montag mit ihr und ihren Eltern für unser Fotoshoot getroffen. Wir sind zu einem meiner liebsten Plätze hier Norman gegangen und ich freu mich total euch ein paar Fotos davon zu zeigen.

Zur Zeit ist alles wunderschön grün – ich liebe es. Und das Wetter war einfach klasse am Montag …. auch wenn wir von sämtlichen Moskitos attackiert wurden. Die Sonne, das Licht war einfach fantastisch. Ich hab so viele schöne Fotos und ich hoffe, dass ich Nora’s Persönlichkeit perfekt einfangen konnte. Die Mama stand auch für ein paar Fotos vor der Kamera um den Papi damit zum Vatertag zu überraschen. In Deutschland ist morgen ja schon Vatertag, aber hier in der USA wird erst Mitte Juni Vatertag gefeiert. Mamis – nehmt euch ein Beispiel an Nora’s Mama, denn Fotos sind eine super Geschenkidee für jeden Papi.  Ich werde die ersten 2 Wochen ja wegen einer Hochzeit außer Landes sein, wenn ihr also rechzeitig Foto’s haben wollt für Vatertag meldet euch so schnell wie möglich bei mir!

Last week I had the privilege to meet and hang out with these 4 awesome kids (well…and their parents of course!). If you follow my blog you might recognize the cute little baby girl from an earlier post you can find here. Between all the days of rain and gloom we got lucky and had a beautiful sunny day.  These 4 are actually part siblings, part cousin, some of which traveled all the way up from Texas.

Family is such an important part of our lives. And it makes me so happy to see what joy being around each other brought to these 4 cute little munchkins.  Thanks for allowing me to be a part of that. Thank you for asking me to capture your love. You life.

Letzte Woche hatte ich das Vergnügen einen Nachmittag mit 4 tollen Kids zu verbrinen (okay, ihre Eltern waren natürlich auch da!). Wer meinen Blog verfolgt mag sich vielleicht an das Kleine Baby erinnern, die ich vor einer Weile schon mit ihren Eltern fotografiert habe. Die Fotos findet ihr hier. Zwischen dem ganzen Mistwetter, das wir hier in letzter Zeit hatten haben wir Glück gehabt und einen tollen sonnigen Tag erwischt. Diese 4 sind u.a. Geschwister und Cousinen und Cousins, einige sind sogar den weiten Weg von Texas hochgekommen.

Familie ist so ein wichtiger Teil in unserem Leben. Und ich fühl mich wirklich geehrt, dass ich die 4 Süßen kenengelernt habe und ihre Liebe füreinander beobachten durfte.  Danke das ich daran teilnehmen durfte und danke. An eurer Liebe. An eurem Leben.
