You might recognize Kylie from the senior shoot I had with her older sister Tori not too long ago. Well, this last Monday was her birthday and what she wanted for her birthday was a photo shoot with her 3 best friends. What an awesome idea if you ask me! I wish I had professional pictures to look back on from my teenage years with my very best friends!!!! A brilliant idea indeed!

So last Saturday we met at the Myriad Botanical Gardens downtown OKC. The girls have been friends since 1st grade and seriously are the sweetest girls ever. We had so much fun together. Even though the outside temps were only about a mid-to high 30 (which is why we moved the shoot to the Gardens) they were fierce enough for a few outdoor shots before we headed inside.

Not only are these 4 best friends, and truly incredible, beautiful young women. They are also strong in their faith. All 4 of them have taken a pledge of purity. If you’re like me you’ve heard about it but weren’t too familiar with it.  So here goes… these 4 young women pledged to stay pure. They each wear a ring that  represents their decision to remain sexually abstinent until marriage.  It’s something honorable and I think just a wonderful thing period! Kudos to you 4!

Kylie – happy birthday, again! You really are too fly and need to get your own airline.

Haltet euch fest…es folgen ganz VIELE Fotos….sogar mehr als sonst!

Vielleicht erkennt jemand Kylie vom Fotoshoot, dass ich mit ihrer Schwester Tori vor einer kurzen Weile hatte. Letzten Montag feierte sie ihren Geburtstag und unter anderem wünschte sie sich von ihren Eltern eine Foto Session mit ihren 3 besten Freundinnen. Ach ich wünschte ich hätte in meiner Jugend die Möglichkeit für ein professionelles Shooting mit meinen besten Freundinnen gehabt, sodass ich jetzt auf diese (leider nicht vorhandenen) Fotos zurückblicken könnte!!! Was für eine geniale Geschenkidee!

Letzten Samstag haben wir uns also downtown Oklahoma City beim Myriad Botan. Garten getroffen. Die 4 sind schon seid der 1. Klasse beste Freundinnen und sind wirklich super liebe Mädels. Wir hatten so viel Spaß zusammen. Obwohl es draußen mal wieder etwas Kälter war und wir nur einstellige Temperaturen hatten, waren die 4 dennoch für ein paar Fotos draußen zu haben bevor wir in den Garten gegangen sind.

Diese 4 sind nicht nur beste Freundinnen, und wirklich wundervolle und hübsche Mädchen. Nein! Sie sind auch noch sehr stark in ihrem Glauben an Jesus Christus. Alle 4 sind ein Versprechen der Reinheit zwischen sich und Christi eingegangen. In Deutschland is das noch nicht so bekannt wie hier in den Staaten. Aber es bedeutet quasi, dass die Mädels durch einen Ring an ihrer Hand der Welt zeigen wollen, dass sie Christus und sich selbst versprochen haben bis zur Ehe mit dem Sex zu warten. In meinen Augen ist das etwas sehr ehrenvolles und einfach eine ganz tolle Sache! Hut ab ihr 4!

Kylie – ich wünsch dir nochmals alles Gute zum Geburtstag! Du bist echt zu cool!

P.S.: Für diejenigen, die auch gerne ihre Fotos im Myriad Garten haben möchten…es wird eine zusätzliche Preisauflage von $25 vom Garten verlangt um dort eine Photo Session zu haben.

Okay… so here’s the deal. My friend Traci nominated me for a blog award. The ‘Honest Scrap’ Award. Thanks girl!

1. Growing up as a dancer I frequently competed in different competitions. I once threw up on stage, thanks to stage fright, while I was doing a flip! Can you say N.A.S.T.Y.!!!
2. Between the ages of  16-18 my hair all of a sudden went from straight to wavy, to curly and then back to straight again — without the use of a crimper, iron or hot curls.
3. I was born 11/19 at 11.19am.
4. I can pretty much crack every bone in my body.
5. I was 17 when I got my naval pierced.
6. I stink at remembering names.
7. I’m obsessed with good smelling shampoos, conditioners, lotions…. I could never buy the bulk sizes since I swap them out constantly.
8. I love to drink Karo; with a little bit of cream, a pack of sugar and whip cream on top!
9. The first thing I want to eat every time I arrive in Germany is… a Döner Kebab.
10. I am absolutely fascinated with Egyptian history and would love to go on a photo excursion there someday!

The girls wanted to mix things up a bit for the Holidays so we curled Kiki’s straight hair and blow dried Z’s curly curls. And C.J.’s Mohawk is gone bye-bye. Aren’t they the cutest E.V.E.R.????

Los geht’s ….

1. Als Kind/Jugendliche habe ich viel getanzt und habe oft bei Wettbewerben mitgemacht. Einmal hab ich so ein Lampenfieber bekommen das ich mich während einem Bogengang übergeben musste. I.G.I.T.T.!
2. Im Alter von 16-18 hat sich meine Haarstruktur auf einmal von glatt, zu wellig, bis hin zu lockig und wieder zuröck zuglat verändert. Ganz ohne die Hilfe von Glatteisen, Lockenstab oder Lockenwicklern.
3. Ich wurde am 19.11 um 11Uhr19 geboren.
4. Ich kann so ziehmlich jeden Knochen in meiner Körper knacksen.
5. Ich hab mir mit 17 den Bauchnabel stechen lassen.
6. Ich kann mir zum frecken keine Namen merken.
7. Ich LIEBE gut riechendes Shampoo,Spülung, Lotion …. ich könnte mir nie die riesen Packungen kaufen, weil ich meine ständig wechsle.
8. Ich liebe Karo/Muckefuck; mit einem Schuss Sahne, etwas Zucker und Sprühsane oben drauf!
9. Das aller 1. was ich essen möchte wenn ich in Deutschland ankomme ist … ein Döner.
10. Ich bin total fasziniert von der Ägyptischen Geschichte und würde zu gerne mal eine Fotoeskursion nach Ägypten machen!

Und…weil heute so ein Mistwetter ist mit Eisregen und ich doch eine brave Fotografin bin und mir den Tag mit Editieren der Fotos von meiner letzten Session versüße…..zeige ich euch ein paar Fotos noch von Weihnachten, die ich euch natürlich nicht ovrenthalten möchte. Meine Mädels wollten mal was Neues ausprobieren und somit hat Kiki Locken bekommen und Zizi’s Haare wurden glatt geföhnt. nd C.J.’s Mohawk ist mitlerweile Geschichte. Sind sie nicht einfach S.Ü.ß.????

Today was wonderful!

Even though I had to get up way too early to have another Ortho appointment and an X-ray on my right shoulder, spent 2 1/2 hours non-stop on the phone with Blackberry to fix my dang phone….. the day turned out to be fabulous!

We had 78 degrees today! Unbelievable, right? It was warm and sunny. The sky had freckles made of cirrus clouds.  I love me some cloudy skies! They make for such a dramatic backdrop for pictures.

And since it was such a nice day today I got together with my friends Heather, TK and Shana from church and we had a play date at one of the cool parks here.  We had so much fun! I love hanging out with great people and these girls are wonderful! They welcomed me to Norman with open arms and made me feel right at home. Thanks girls!

Heute war  super!

Ich musste viel zu früh aufstehen, war nochmal beim Orthopäden, musste meine rechte Schulter nochmal röntgen lassen, und ich hab 2 1/2 Std ununterbrochen wegen meinem Handy mit den help desk telefoniert ….  und trotzdestonoch war es ein toller Tag!

Wir hatten doch sagen und schreibe mal wieder einen Tag mit 25Grad Celsius! Krass, ne?! Es war sonnig und wunderbar warm. Der Himmel hatte tolle Federwolken-Sommersprossen. Ich liebe einen tollen Wolkenhimmel! Wolken machen sich super als Kulisse für Fotos. So ein dramat. Effekt.

Und weil es heute so toll draußen war hab ich mich mit meinen Mädels Heather, TK & Shana (die in meiner Gemeinde sind)  getroffen um die Sonne zu genießen und die Kids rumtoben zu lassen. Wir hatten so viel Spaß! Ich treffe mich so gerne mit netten Leuten und diese Mädels sind schlicht weg suppa! Sie haben mich hier in Norman mit offenen Armen in ihren Freundeskreis aufgenommen. Danke Mädels!

Ach ja, Traci - danke für deine Nominierung! Ich werde beim nächsten Mal über die Auszeichnung bloggen. Versprochen!

Oh my heavens! How long have I waited to post about this??? You might think maybe a couple of weeks. Well…that wouldn’t be bad at all! You say maybe a few months? That I could’ve handled as well. Well, the official news reached the Cloward Clan across the big, blue Atlantic Ocean a few months ago, but no! I cannot count that as the actual waiting time.

You might remember Benny & Jenny…a.k.a. BenJen from our couples shoot last year in August during our trip to Germany.

They’re pretty much childhood/teenhood sweethearts. Growing up Jenny had this MAJOR-domo  crush on Benny. Ooooh…. he was the Italian looking hottie all girls flocked to. And I mean ALL! Every single one of them! But no – he couldn’t keep a girlfriend for longer than 2 months to save his life! Poor Jenny! So yup… I’m not sure I have the exact number of times they were on and off again… but I’m sure it’s somewhere around 10 times. At least! Jenny – please correct me if I’m wrong. lol

Benny popped the actual question – you might not believe this – about 7 years ago! YES!!!!! That’s 7! You read correctly. Dude, how can you be engaged for 7 years? haha… (And this does NOT include the numerous years they were just ‘dating’.) Well I guess this way they don’t have to worry about that rumor about the 7th year of marriage….hehe

So these 2 lovebirds, who I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE with all my heart have finally set THE date. They will be officially tying the knot on June 6th, 2009. Of course I will be flying back to Germany again in June to document their wedding day. Can you see me sitting here with a genormeous smile on my face? Yup… I’m stoked alright!

BenJen – CONGRATULATIONS! We are so excited for you and I can hardly wait for June.

Meine Herren! Wie lange habe ich darauf gewartet endlich hiervon zu berichten???  Ihr denkt vielleicht seid ein paar Wochen. – Och das wär doch garnix! Vielleicht seid ein paar Monaten? – Damit liegst du nicht ganz falsch. Die ‘offizielle’ Nachricht hat es über den großen, blauen Atlantik vor ein paar Monaten zum Cloward Clan geschafft. Aber nein! Das zählt nicht wirklich als die eigentliche Wartezeit.

Vielleicht erinnert ihr euch noch an das Paarshooting, dass ich letztes Jahr im August mit Benny und Jenny, auch BenJen genannt, während meinem Deutschlandurlaub hatte.

Die 2 Süßen sind quasi ein Liebespaar seid ihrer Kindheit/Jugend. Jenny war schon mit jungen Jahren tierisch in Benny verknallt. Oooooh….er war quasi das deutsch-ital. Sexsymbol aller Mädels im Dorf und Co. Und ich meine ALLE! Wirklich so gut wie jedes Mädel! Aber nein – er konnte zum Kuckuck nicht eine richtige Beziehung führen die länger als 2 Monate anhielt. Die arme Jenny!  Haha…ich bin mir nicht 100%ig sicher über die genaue Anzahl, und Jenny bitte korrigiere mich, wenn ich falsch liege, aber ich glaub die 2 haben min. 10x miteinander Schluss gemacht und waren dann doch immer wieder ein Paar. lol

Benny hat dann endlich den Schritt gewagt und ihr einen Antrag gestellt vor — au weia… ihr glaubt mir das doch sowieso nicht — vor ca. 7 Jahren! Oh ja!!!!!!! 7 hab ich gesagt! Ihr habt euch nicht verlesen, und ich hab mich nicht vertippt. Hammer….wie kann man bitteschön für 7 Jahre verlobt sein? haha (Ach ja, und die 7 Jahre sind nur Verlobungsjahre und nicht noch inklusive der ganzen Jahre davor.) Naja, somit haben sie wohl das verflixte 7. Jahr schon hinter sich. Das hat doch auch was Gutes! hihi

Diese 2 Süßen, die ich wirklich über ALLES, ALLES, ALLES liebe haben endlich einen Tag für ihre Hochzeit festgelegt. Sie werden am 6. Juni, 2009 in Trier heiraten. Natürlich wird der Cloward Clan für diesen Anlass wieder nach Deutschland fliegen, damit ich ihren Hochzeitstag für sie fotografieren kann. Könnt ihr mich sehen, wie ich hier sitze und von einem Ohr bis zum anderen Grinse? Yup …. ich freu mich wie ein Honigkuchenpferd!

BenJen – HERZLICHEN GLÜCKWUNSCH! Wir freuen uns sehr mit euch und Ich kann kaum noch bis Juni warten.
