Just yesterday we celebrated Thanksgiving. What a wonderful Holiday! We had lots of fun and our bellies were aching once the day was over. I was so humbled by Zizi’s compliment about me cooking such a “feast” for us. I wouldn’t have necessarily called it a feast but then again – we had PLENTY of food, we’re all healthy and well, are blessed with a home, lots of wonderful friends (near and far), all of us are HAPPY and we have the greatest family ever! I am so thankful for everything!

So i guess … we had a feast. Eating lots of yummy stuff and having a good time together. Thanks Zi for reminding me that a feast doesn’t always have to be a 10 course meal meant for an army!

Gestern haben wir hier das Erntedank Fest gefeiert. Was für ein toller Feiertag! Wir hatten sehr viel Spaß zusammen und unsere Bäuche haben uns am Ende des Tages weh getan vor lauter Essen. Ich war geehrt als Zizi mir ein Kompliment gab für das leckere ‘Festmahl’. Ich persönlich hätte es nicht gerade ein Mahl genannt sondern eher einen Schmaus, aber… wir hatten REICHLICH an Essen, uns geht’s allen gut und sind gesund, wir sind gesegnet mit einem Dach über’m Kopf, vielen guten Freunden (nah und fern), sind glücklich and haben die beste Familie überhaupt! Ich bin so dankbar für alles!

Also demnach hatte Zizi wohl Recht und wir hatten ein Festmahl. Wir haben ganz viel gegessen und eine tolle Zeit miteinander verbracht. Danke Zi, dass du mich daran erinnert hast, dass ein Mahl nicht unbedingt bedeutet das es ein 10 Gänge Menü für eine riesen Horde ist!

We have a new home! YAY! We signed the papers and moved in last Thursday. We’ve been sleeping and eating on the floor since until today we’ve been without any furniture. But thank heavens that has come to an end!

I looooooove my new house! Don’t worry… once we’re all moved in and settled I’ll share some pictures with you! For now you’ll have to be satisfied with some ‘backyard’ pictures.

It’s so nice to finally have a fenced backyard. Maxi loves it, Lilly loves it, the kiddos love it – and most of all … I love it! Whenever the kids want to play outside while I need to cook, wash, fold, vacuum, dust, edit pictures, etc…. I can just let them go wild in the back! It’s absolutely great!

I’m counting down the days until Friday – the Twilight movie premier!!!!! I already reserved my ticket and can’t hardly wait!!!! YAY! Everybody out there should go see the movie… or better yet… read the books! It’s fantastic. Stepehenie Meyer is brilliant!

Wir haben endlich ein neues Zuhause! Jippie! Letzte Woche Donnerstag haben wir den Vertrag unterschrieben und sind auch gleich eingezogen. Bis heute haben wir auf dem Boden geschlafen und gegessen, da erst heute unsere ganzen Möbel geliefert wurden. Gott sei Dank hat das ein Ende!

Ich liiiiiiiiiebe unser neues Haus! Keine Sorge…wenn wir richtig eingezogen sind und alles pick-o-bello eingerichtet ist werde ich natürlich Fotos für euch machen und hochladen. Bis dahin müsst ihr euch wohl oder übel mit Fotos aus unserem Garten zufrieden geben.

Es ist so genial endlich mal einen Garten mit Zaun zu haben. Maxi liebt den Zaun, Lilly liebt ihn, die Kids sind begeistert und ich bin überglücklich damit! Die Kids können jetzt zu jeder Zeit raus spielen gehen, egal ob ich gerade am kochen, waschen, falten, staubsaugen, staubwischen, Fotos editieren, ….etc. bin. Ich kann sie einfach raus in den Garten spielen lassen! Zu genial!

Ich zähle schon die Tage ab bis Freitag, wenn endlich mein Film ‘Twilight‘ in die Kinos kommt!!!!! Hurra!!!!! Ich hab mir mein Ticket schon vorbestellt und kann’s kaum erwarten!!!! Jeder sollte sich diesen Film anschaun oder besser noch die Buchserie lesen. Die geschichte ist einfach klasse. Stephenie Meyer ist ein Genie!

Marley is 15 years old and enjoys going to school. She’s the oldest of 3 and happens to be Jade’s daughter.

She’s outgoing, fun, caring and such a doll!

She’s a pretty girl and inherited her mother’s beautiful eyes and lips.

We met downtown Grants Pass a few days before we left OR for our trip to OK. At first I wanted to go down 6th St. again, which is where her mom and I took pictures at. But on my way there I had to stop at a nearby grocery store and I noticed a storage area with these really awesome blue and orange roll-up garage doors. Such a neat effect and vibrant colors. Love it!

From there we headed down a few blocks to the train tracks. Since they were right behind the grocery store I couldn’t resist and had her sit in one of their carts. Glad she was game for it! I love her happiness in that particular picture…it’s literally contagious!

She’s a natural in front of the camera and enjoys every second of it!

Marley ist 15 Jahre alt und geht gerne in die Schule. Sie ist die älteste von 3en und die Tochter von Jade.

Sie hat einen guten Sinn für Humor, ist liebevoll, offen und ine voll süße Maus!

Sie ist jetzt schon ein hübsches Mädchen und hat die tollen Augen und Lippen von ihrer Mutter geerbt.

Wir hatten uns in der Innenstadt von Grants Pass getroffen. Wollten uns eigentlich wie mit ihrer Mutter an der 6th St. treffen, doch ich hatte kurz davor beim Supermarktausflug eine coolere Stelle entdeckt. Es ist eine Reihe von Lagergaragen in tollem, sagftigem blau und orange und ich wusste sofort, dass die sich prima als Hintergrund machen würden. Ich find’s einfach zu cool!

Von da aus sind wir dann ein paar Straßen runter gelatsch richtung Bahngleise, die gleich hinter dem Supermarkt entlang gehen. Auf dem Parkplatz hab ich auch einen Einkaufswagen entdeckt und konnte nicht widerstehen. Was ein Glück, dass Marley jeden Quatsch mitgemacht hat, denn ich liebe das Foto mit ihr im Wagen. So ein schönes, natürl. Lächeln ist einfach unbezahlbar und regelrech ansteckend.

Sie ist ein Naturtalent was das Modeln anbetrifft und macht es auch noch glücklicherweise ausgesprochen gerne!

We’re almost at the end of our very long journey. I still can’t believe it.

We had a stop in Vegas. Craig and I (and baby Zizi at that point) had been to Vegas before, back in February of ‘04. We actually won $500 at a slot machine back then. This time around we didn’t gamble but walked the strip with the kids. We also went up into Planet Hollywood, formerly known as the Aladdin hotel, since we wanted to show the kids the Arabian market with it’s rain storm.

The last time I’ve been to Vegas I wasn’t able to experience the fountain show in front of the Bellagio hotel. Those of you who’ve seen the terrific movie ‘Ocean’s Eleven‘ should know what I’m talking about. This time around we actually got to see it twice. Once during daylight and the other during the night with all the beautiful lights. What a show!!

The kids really enjoyed Vegas, especially their buffets since it gave them the opportunity to eat as much dessert as their little tummies would allow!

In just a few more days we’ll close on our house and have all our belongings delivered….I can’t hardly wait.

Fast sind wir am Ende von unserer langen Reise angelangt. Ich kann’s immernoch nicht glauben.

Wir hatten auch einen Stopp in Las Vegas. Craig & ich (und damals einem Zizi-baby) waren schonmal Februar ‘04 dort. Damals haben wir sogar $500 bei einem einarmigen Banditen Spiel gewonnen. Diesmal haben wir nicht gespielt und sind stattdessen nur mit den Kids die Straße hoch und runter gelatscht. Wir sind auch in’s Planet Hollywood Hotel, vor ein paar Jahren hieß es noch das Aladdin Hotel, gedüst um den Kids den arab. Markt und den Regensturm dort zu zeigen.

Bei meinem letzten Vegas Besuch hatte ich leider nicht die Möglichkeit gehabt das Brunnenspektakel vor’m Bellagio Hotel zu erleben. Die jenigen unter euch, die den super Film ‘Ocean’s Eleven‘ gesehen haben werden sehr wohl wissen, von was ich hier rede. Aber diesmal haben wir’s sogar gleich 2x gesehen. Beim ersten Mal tagsüber und beim 2. Mal am Abend, im Dunkeln …. mit all den tollen Lichtern. Und lasst mich sagen – es ist eine wahnsinnig gute Show!!

Die Kids hatten viel Spaß in Vegas, besonders an den tollen Buffets! Da konnten sie zum ertsten Mal so viel Nachtisch essen, wie ihre kleine Bäuche es zugelassen haben!

In ein paar Tagen werden wir endlich den Vertrag für unser neues Haus unterschreiben und all’ unsere Sachen geliefert bekommen…ich kann’s kaum erwarten.
