Spring in(to) Winter

Literally….lol Just kidding! Never thought it would be possible to experience two seasons in one day: Spring & Winter! But take a trip up to South Deerfield, MA to Magic Wings, a butterfly conservatory, and the Yankee Candle Flagship and you can do just that!

So last Saturday Craig kicked the kids and me out of the house to do some work on the house while my friend Romina and her son Tyler accompanied us on our daytrip up to MA.

WOW!!!! I’ll definitely be taking another trip to the Magic Wings conservatory. What a beautiful place. The kids absolutely loved it. At one point one of the butterflies even decided to take a pit stop on C.J.’s head and then before taking off into the jungle again decided on parting with a butterfly kiss on Zizi’s nose. It was absolutely AWESOME!!! We even got to pet a dragon lizard, or whatever that reptile was called.

If you’re familiar with candles I’m sure you’ve heard of Yankee Candles! Well…they’re huge here. And their birthplace was just down the street from the conservatory so we had to stop there, too. That place is huge! It’s a 365 days/year Christmas theme place with mock indoor snow, toy trains going around and even a Bavarian Village! lol Too cool! Sure enough, even Santa made an appearance that day…so we stood in line for 2 LONG hours to have a chat with him and take a few pics. (Once and NEVER again I’ll tell ya!)

While we were off having a marvelous time in Fairy-Gardens and Winter Wonderland Craig managed to finish laying the laminate floors upstairs. YAY! So I guess it was an overall success for all of us! Hehe
